Bio & Reel

A strong creative eye and unwavering passion for originality have fueled a successful career that spans graphic design, filmmaking, and writing.
Distinguished Highlights:
Immense creative freedom was the gift given to Jeff when legendary “Trainer of Champions” Joe Weider hired him to create and art direct (for ten years) his fourth monthly publication “Men’s Fitness” — the first magazine to package workout, nutrition, grooming, fashion, and lifestyle advice for the everyday man.
Venturing into film, Jeff’s first project pitch to Warner Home Entertainment resulted in the very successful “Lean at Last” health and nutrition series which he co-wrote, co-produced, and directed.
Gehrisch Films, a German-based production company, hired Jeff to direct various commercials as well as a TV talk-show pilot called “Celebrity Daughters.”
Jeff’s work impressed the producers of “Without Warning,” the fourth film in the “Best of the Best” martial arts franchise, and he was asked to rework their ailing screenplay. Once production started, he was hired to direct second unit and when shooting fell behind schedule, Jeff and his crew stepped in and successfully directed some first unit.
Jeff’s writing credits include a vibrant screenplay adaptation of the award-winning book, “The Last Algonquin” — to the applause of the book’s author and an agent at UTA.
Working with the owners of Prestige Studios, Jeff co-wrote the screenplay “Antar the Black Knight,” which was well-received by producers at CAA Independent and Head of Worldwide Acquisitions at Sony Studios.
A rare opportunity presented itself when Jeff was invited to the UAE to direct “Big Cat Rescue,” a documentary chronicling the rescue and rehabilitation efforts of the Abu Dhabi Wildlife Centre; a passion project of H.H. Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nayan.
The loss of a beloved pet prompted Jeff to write his first book, “Paw Prints on the Windshield.” He enjoyed this new form of creative expression and realized it could be a great way to promote his ambitious action-adventure film trilogy, “Kumite.” The book adaptation of script one, “Darkness: Book One of the Kumite Trilogy,” is completed and available on Amazon. Currently Jeff’s focused on writing “Chaos: Book Two of the Kumite Trilogy” which is based on script two.
